The APQP4Wind Community now includes the 5 largest OEM’s in the wind industry

According to Global Wind Turbine Market Report, Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, GE Renewable Energy, Goldwind, and Envision Energy were the five largest wind turbine manufacturers in 2022. Another thing these five OEM's have in common is that they are all APQP4Wind Company Members and have implemented the APQP4Wind framework.

The wind energy sector is growing rapidly, with the global market expected to reach $188.3 billion by 2026. With the increasing demand for clean energy, the wind turbine market is becoming increasingly competitive. The industry boasts many different manufacturers, with a few large companies responsible for developing large-scale on- and offshore wind parks.

A report called Global Wind Turbine Market Report from Blackridge Research & Consulting listed the top 15 wind turbine manufacturers in 2022 based on their market share and total installed wind capacity. On this list, Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, GE Renewable Energy, Goldwind, and Envision Energy are mentioned as the top 5. Another thing these five biggest wind turbine manufacturers have in common is that they all are APQP4Wind Company Members and have had numerous employees trained in the APQP4Wind framework.

APQP4Wind is a quality assurance methodology for the global wind industry, developed and endorsed by the board companies Vattenfall, Ørsted, GE Renewable Energy, Goldwind, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Vestas Wind Systems, GRI Renewable Industries, LM Wind Power, KK Wind Solutions, and ZF Wind Power. Together with the 110+ company members, they form the APQP4Wind Community, which supports APQP4Wind and the standardization of processes to reduce time to market and increase efficiency.

Welcoming Envision Energy to the APQP4Wind Community

The newest wind turbine manufacturer that has become a part of the APQP4Wind Community as a company member is the Shanghai-based wind turbine manufacturer Envision Energy. The company designs, manufactures, and operates smart wind turbines to increase energy yield, minimize downtime, and maximize performance. With over 40 GW installed wind power by the end of 2021, Envision Energy offers both onshore and offshore solutions.

Envision Energy is committed to providing high-quality products and services, and being a part of the APQP4Wind Community reinforces that commitment. Mrs. Grace Lu, Head of Smart Wind Turbine Product Line at Envision Energy, says:

As a member of APQP4Wind, Envision Energy will receive several benefits, including an endorsement of the company’s logo on the APQP4Wind website, a free version of the APQP4Wind Assessment Tool for measuring the company’s maturity level, and the opportunity to become of part of the future development of APQP4Wind as they can apply for a spot in the APQP4Wind Working Group.

Envision Energy joins a group of six wind turbine manufacturers in the APQP4Wind Community: Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, GE Renewable Energy, Goldwind, Nordex, and SANY Renewable Energy. Nordex and SANY Renewable Energy are also mentioned in Blackridge Research & Consulting’s Wind Turbine Market Report. Nordex is listed as the seventh largest wind turbine manufacturer in 2022, and SANY Renewable Energy is number 15 on the list.
