Step 2

Sign up for training

Choose an approved APQP4Wind Training Provider and join the APQP4Wind Management Awareness Training & APQP4Wind Specialist Training. These courses have proven to be a vital part of the APQP4Wind journey to ease the first steps of implementing APQP4Wind and establishing a common mindset in the wind industry when working with quality assurance processes. Step 3

Implement APQP4Wind

Implement APQP4Wind according to the APQP4Wind Manual and Toolbox under the lead of employees who have undergone APQP4Wind Training. The APQP4Wind Manual is designed to ensure that customers and suppliers are aligned regarding quality assurance processes. The APQP4Wind Toolbox helps users comply with the activities described in the APQP4Wind Manual.

Step 4

Continous improvement

Use the Plan-Do-Check-Act model and APQP4Wind Assessment Tool to identify challenges and create an improvement plan. The purpose of the Assessment Tool is to enable companies to easily assess their own maturity level by helping them measure their approach to and deployment of the APQP4Wind methodology.

Step 5

Join the APQP4Wind Community

Become a vital part of the development of APQP4Wind by signing up for APQP4Wind Company Membership. The APQP4Wind Community facilitates stronger collaboration across the supply chain with 150+ Company Members. Company Member employees also have a chance to become APQP4Wind Country Ambassadors and join the Working Group when needs arise.

Handbook

The Handbook describes different topics for general information about APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), a short introduction of one important tool/method called PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) with all its background information and how to roll out successfully in an existing organization.

Beginners will find this information most useful and can use the Handbook for further activities to implement APQP in their organization.

Supplier Letter

The Supplier Letter is a letter addressed to suppliers and sub-suppliers, which has been made for wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers to help them set APQP4Wind requirements for their suppliers and explain why these requirements of APQP4Wind are important.
