Workstream 3 - Content Requirements for Customer Information

The workstream on Content Requirements for Customer Information was established in May 2020 with the purpose of developing an industry standard that specifies which information the OEM must deliver to the customer. The specific outcome of this workstream is a published content requirement document that will describe the information that shall be communicated between OEM and the customer.

The information will depend on different factors, which the group has divided into four tiers:

  1. Technical information that is required to Own the WTG.
  2. Technical information that is required to Operate the WTG.
  3. Technical information that is required to carry out activities in relation to the product lifecycle according to the WTG Manufacturer’s design and defined work practices.
  4. Technical information providing detailed insight to the WTG Manufacturer’s design and defined work practices or technical information that would enable the Owner to define their own work practices. This information may enable the Owner to perform their own technical due diligence, for instance to improve WTG reliability and assess potential for Lifetime Extension.

The guideline has been written by subject matter experts from the following companies:

  • GE Vernova Offshore Wind
  • Nordex Acciona
  • RWE
  • Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy
  • Vattenfall
  • Vestas Wind Systems
  • Ørsted
