Goldwind has more than 8,000 employees and operates 35,000 wind turbines across 6 continents and more than 25 countries, making the Chinese company one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers.
Being committed to the application of advanced quality management methods and the continuous work to improve the quality of their products, Goldwind realized the benefits of introducing APQP4Wind in 2017 and started implementing and promoting the APQP4Wind principles soon after in cooperation with suppliers and training providers.
A few years later, Goldwind became an official APQP4Wind Company Member and has since then been committed to working together with the APQP4Wind organization on promoting the APQP4Wind concept in China as a Country Ambassador, a member of the APQP4Wind Manual and Toolbox Working Group, and on coordinating China Wind Power in 2019.
Since implementing APQP4Wind, Goldwind reports to have achieved significant improvements in the first-time success rate of new product development, the qualification rate of the first product, and the on-site acceptance rate of key components etc., and the company has promoted improvements in the supply chain and played an important role in promoting quality development within the Chinese wind power industry in cooperation with their suppliers.

General Manager of Quality Management Center and Goldwind’s representative on the APQP4Wind Board of Directors, Jiqiang Ye has been engaged in the field of quality management for more than 10 years and has practical experience within QHSE management. At Goldwind, he is responsible for making the product quality improve continuously.
Having been an APQP4Wind Country Ambassador since 2019, Jiqiang Ye is familiar with the APQP4Wind methodology and is a strong advocate of the implementation of APQP4Wind within Goldwind and the company’s suppliers.
As Jiqiang Ye expresses it, he believes that the application of APQP4Wind will make the quality management more efficient and strengthen the wind industry’s quality development:

Gaining valuable insight into the Chinese market
As APQP4Wind’s first board member from China, Goldwind will provide the board with an Easterner’s perspective to the strategies and decisions of APQP4Wind which helps enhance the methodology’s adaptability all over the world, especially within the Chinese and Eastern market.
