TÜV Rheinland held another successful quality seminar in China

TÜV Rheinland recently held a seminar for Chinese experts within the wind industry about quality improvement. The seminar was a great success with more than 50 participants from 19 different wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers who showed great interest in APQP4Wind.

Less than a month ago, our approved APQP4Wind Training Provider, TÜV Rheinland, held a seminar in Shanghai called Quality Improvement for the Wind Industry, which they had invited Chinese experts within the wind industry to.

With more than 50 participants from 19 different wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers, including experts from APQP4Wind Company Members like Sinoma Blade, Goldwind and Vestas, the seminar turned out to be quite successful. The participants showed great interest in the APQP4Wind methodology, and some expressed that they would sign up for APQP4Wind training in the near future.

At the seminar, General Manager of APQP4Wind, Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen held an online speech about APQP4Wind in a global perspective. In his speech, Mr. Jacobsen explained the content, various tools, and benefits of implementing APQP4Wind.

The General Manager was followed by one of our APQP4Wind Country Ambassadors and Head of SQD China at Vestas Wind Systems, Wendan Ding, who joined to talk about Vestas’ expectations and demands for their suppliers and the best practices of APQP4Wind in Vestas.

The seminar is the first event in China where the APQP4Wind Assessment Tool was officially introduced to the Chinese wind industry as one of the tools in the APQP4Wind Toolbox.

TÜV Rheinland also made a short video of the event where they interviewed three of the participants, representing Goldwind, Jinke Energy and TPI Composites.

You can read the translations of the three interviews below the video.

Today, I am very happy to discuss how to carry out the quality assurance of the supply chain with the main players of wind power at home and abroad, which is a very good learning opportunity for investors in our new energy industry.
Ms. Li Xiuyue, Jinke New Energy
APQP4Wind brings great significance for the Chinese wind power industry, especially for the ‘two seas strategy’. The quality of offshore wind power is very important, and APQP4wind plays an essential role in guaranteeing this quality. For the development of overseas markets, APQP4wind is a useful tool for Chinese wind suppliers because it provides the same language of communication.
Mr. Yang Rongqiang, TPI Composites
The Assessment Tool is a tool based on Risk Management and the assessment of maturity level and overall level of compliance. I got a lot of new updates from the discussion today.
Mr. Liu Qianghu, Goldwind
