The world’s leading wind OEMs unite around APQP4Wind

Although the year is still ongoing, 2025 has already proven to be a breakthrough year for the international growth of APQP4Wind. Early in the year, Windey Energy Technology Group became a part of the APQP4Wind Community as a company member, followed more recently by Ming Yang Smart Energy.
These new members in the APQP4Wind Community join a strong lineup of established original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Goldwind, Envision Energy, Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, GE Vernova, Nordex, ENERCON, SANY Renewable Energy, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, and Senvion Wind Technologies.
The addition of Windey and Ming Yang not only expands the APQP4Wind Community but also strengthens APQP4Wind’s position as the common quality assurance method across the global wind sector.
A unified front of industry leaders

According to the report 2024 Global Wind Turbine Market Shares by research provider BloombergNEF (BNEF): Goldwind, Envision, Windey, Ming Yang, Vestas, Sany, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Nordex, and GE Vernova rank among the top ten global wind turbine makers. Another thing that they have in common is that they are all active APQP4Wind Company Members.
This broad and influential membership base sets APQP4Wind as the benchmark for quality assurance in the wind industry. For customers, APQP4Wind has become the clear quality method driving global process alignment. For suppliers, it means fewer conflicting requirements and clearer pathways to meet customer expectations. The shared commitment to APQP4Wind is critical for strengthening collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support within the wind industry.
However, the significance of this shared commitment to APQP4Wind goes beyond membership numbers. Ming Yang’s leadership in offshore wind technology and Windey’s rapid growth, also helps bridge Eastern and Western OEMs. This creates a crucial global alignment of quality expectations, streamlining supplier compliance, and improving consistency across international projects.
Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen, Chief Executive Officer of APQP4Wind, highlights the impact:
“With Ming Yang and Windey joining our community, APQP4Wind strengthens its position as the global framework for quality assurance. When leading OEMs unite around APQP4Wind, it results in significant gains in efficiency, risk reduction, and ultimately, a lower cost of energy worldwide. We now invite the entire renewables sector to join us in building a shared foundation for global quality.
