The Big 4 now supports APQP4Wind

During China Wind Power 2019, it was announced that Goldwind is a new APQP4Wind Company Member. With Goldwind as a committed APQP4Wind Company Member, APQP4Wind is now supported by the 4 largest wind turbine OEMs in the world together with the current members Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and GE Renewable Energy.

On October 23rd, APQP4Wind had a joint event with Goldwind during China Wind Power 2019 in Beijing to announce Goldwind as a new APQP4Wind Company Member. During the event the General Manager, Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen and Chairman of APQP4Wind, Henning Bach Jokumsen presented the story of APQP4Wind for more than 200 participants.

The vision of APQP4Wind is to be the quality assurance methodology used by the entire global wind industry supply chain from design to end-user. During the joint event, the General Manager of Goldwind’s Quality Management Center, Ye Jiqiang introduced their Quality Management Model and announced their support to the APQP4Wind vision:

Goldwind strives to create a quality atmosphere of “establishing and exceeding benchmarks” in the global supply chain. This means that we are committed to play an important role in the development of APQP4Wind by advancing the APQP4Wind agenda.

Before the application for official OEM company membership, Goldwind started its own APQP journey by introducing the APQP4Wind quality assurance methodology and gradually promoting APQP4Wind pilot work. Now, they have formed a Goldwind Supplier Management Plan and achieved good results in the developing process.

With the support of Goldwind, Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen is looking forward to the cross-border collaboration on quality:

By the end of the ceremony, Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen, Ye Jiqiang and Henning Bach Jokumsen signed the official documents, making the APQP4Wind Company Membership official.
