Successful launch of the updated APQP4Wind Manual Version 1.2

The updated APQP4Wind Manual Version 1.2 has now been launched through the first APQP4Wind Webinar: A Closer Look.

During the webinar, the two presenters from the APQP4Wind Working Group 'Manual and Toolbox' Dipl. – Ing. Henning Hecker, Quality Engineer at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Vinayan EP, Lead QSE Engineer within GQSE – Management System & Tools at Vestas Wind Systems went through the changes and answered the participant’s questions in a Q&A Session.

When introducing the process of making the changes in the updated Manual Version 1.2, Vinayan EP mentioned the following:

Many things have changed since the release of the first Manual on January 2017. All members of the Working Group have been on the course of implementing APQP4Wind. We have gotten many new ideas and inputs from users throughout the wind industry. The APQP4Wind organization, therefore, decided to consolidate the learnings from the last two years and prepare for a level-up through an updated Manual.

As a result, changes made in version 1.2 include updated vocabulary, data, general adjustments, and a new design. However, the update will not affect users of the previous version as it will continue to be fully reliable.

The APQP4Wind Manual Version 1.2 is available for purchase either as a hardcopy or an e-version through the certified training providers Bureau Veritas Certification and DNV GL.
