Since China Wind Power 2022 has been postponed indefinitely, TÜV Rheinland Greater China decided to complete their seminar called 'Quality Matters in the Wind Industry' on November 23 as an online meeting for the approximately 150 participants wanting to learn more about quality within the wind industry.

After representatives from APQP4Wind, Vestas Wind Systems, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, and Goldwind had presented their topics, Sany Renewable Energy and SUNGROW were welcomed into the APQP4Wind Community as new Company Members by Mr. Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen, CEO of APQP4Wind:

“We are pleased to welcome Sany Renewable Energy and SUNGROW to the APQP4Wind Community. China is the world leader in wind power, which makes it an essential market when aspiring to expand the application of APQP4Wind. The support that our new Chinese members provide to the APQP4Wind Community is therefore very valued and appreciated.”

With 26 employees trained in the APQP4Wind framework, Ms. Jia, who is the Head of the Quality Management Department of Sany Renewable Energy, expresses that Sany Renewable Energy hopes to contribute to the development of APQP4Wind as a part of the APQP4Wind Community:

„We are honored to become a part of the big family that the APQP4Wind Community represents. APQP4Wind has given us a common language in the wind power industry, and with an APQP4Wind Company Membership, we can make progress and develop the global wind industry together.”

A new starting point for SUNGROW

An APQP4Wind Company Membership is also a great opportunity for the self-exploration and improvement of SUNGROW, says the General Manager of the R&D Center of Wind Energy Division at SUNGROW, Yuyang Wu, and continues:

Joining the APQP4Wind Community as an APQP4Wind Company Member is a new starting point for us. We will extend the APQP4Wind process and tools to all new projects and strictly follow the standards for design, development, and manufacturing in strict accordance with the standards, thereby achieving better results.

Today, they have 32 employees trained in the framework. By implementing the practical experience of APQP4Wind in different projects and their continuous use of the APQP4Wind tools, SUNGROW aims to improve the design and process quality of their products as well as provide efficient, reliable, safe products for the wind power industry.

General Manager of the Group's Quality Control Center at SUNGROW, Chen Wei, adds: "The APQP4Wind standard helps us to unify standards in our software and hardware in collaboration with other wind turbine manufacturers outside the conventional system. We believe this will continuously improve the level of wind power management."

Global and local development

With the addition of Sany Renewable Energy and SUNGROW as Company Members, there is now a total number of 17 Chinese wind energy companies with an APQP4Wind Company Membership, and Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen says that the number is progressively growing:

“Since 2020, we have grown from having only a few APQP4Wind Company Members to now having the support from over 100 Company Members worldwide and nearly 20 Company Members in China alone. This growing support will ensure a great development of APQP4Wind in the future, both at a local and a global scale.”

Welcome, Sany Renewable Energy and SUNGROW to the APQP4Wind Community!
