Ørsted joins APQP4Wind as the first utility company
As one of the largest utility companies in Europe, Ørsted has had more than 20 of their employees undergo APQP4Wind training and now joins the APQP4Wind Community to help further mature the wind industry. With Ørsted as the first utility company to become a Company Member, the APQP4Wind Community has finally come full circle and now has Company Members from across the entire supply chain.
Head of Strategic QHSE Supplier Management at Ørsted, Gert B. Kragh-Jakobsen expresses that joining APQP4Wind is all about maturing the industry of green energy in the same way, that history has shown from other big industries, e.g., automotive, aerospace, and railway. He adds: “We need to do this together as an industry. Standardization and LEAN processes across all parties will increase the safety level and product reliability, and at the same time lower the time to market and cost of production,” and continues:
