As a result of the latest election during the Board of Directors meeting in Hamburg in late September, Gert B. Kragh-Jakobsen, QHSE Category Strategy Manager at Ørsted and representative of utility companies and developers in the APQP4Wind Chairmanship, was appointed as the new Chairman. Henning Bach Jokumsen, Head of Global Quality Assurance and Control at Vestas, was elected Vice Chairman, representing wind turbine manufacturers, while Kim Schmidt Petersen, Vice President of Global QHSE at KK Wind Solutions, will continue as Vice Chairman representing the supplier group.

This structure of the APQP4Wind Chairmanship aims to unite diverse expertise to address industry challenges and guide APQP4Wind in the right direction.

Strengthening industry collaboration

The newly elected Chairmanship will focus on strengthening the collaboration across the wind industry's supply chain, recognizing the critical need for continuous improvement and alignment of quality standards. As the new Chairman, Gert B. Kragh-Jakobsen emphasizes the importance of time, cost, and quality, stating:

I am excited to take on the role of Chairman of the APQP4Wind Board of Directors. Together with my peers, we will work towards a future where standardization, globalization, and industrialization align with sustainability efforts. This new direction will pave the way for the wind industry’s growth, expanding our capacity to meet the increasing demand for renewable energy.

Building on this vision, Henning Bach Jokumsen highlights the importance of aligning quality initiatives across the supply chain and shares his enthusiasm for continuing in the leadership role on the APQP4Wind Board of Directors:

I am honored to be re-elected to represent the WTG sector in the APQP4Wind Chairmanship. After six years as Chairman and two years of expanding the board to include utility companies and developers, I believe it is time to rotate the Chairmanship to Gert. He has effectively represented the group of utility companies and developers and has been a valuable member of the board during the past two years.
