Founded in 1972, Windey has grown into a leading renewable energy enterprise with more than 5,500 employees, including 800 R&D engineers. The company’s business spans the full value chain: Wind turbine R&D and manufacturing, renewable energy investment and development, energy storage, EPC services, intelligent operation and maintenance, and emerging Power-to-X technologies.

In 2024, Windey installed a record 12.5 GW of new capacity, as highlighted by BloombergNEF, securing its position as the world’s third-largest turbine supplier. Enhancing product development through APQP4Wind

Building on its existing APQP practices, Windey further integrated and systematized them in 2024 through the APQP4Wind framework, aligning with international quality standards and strengthening global project execution.

The adoption of APQP4Wind has enabled the company to establish clear quality gates, standardize cross-functional processes, and strengthen supplier collaboration. This structured approach supports the company’s global ambitions and ensures that its products are reliable, cost-efficient, and meet the highest quality standards.
