Yinchuan Weili Transmission Technology Co., Ltd was established in 2003. It focuses on the precision transmission field of the new energy industry, adhering to the business philosophy "soaring by innovation, development by management, survival by quality." Weili's mission is to promote the global precision transmission technology revolution. It is devoted to being one of the most competitive precision transmission solution providers worldwide.

The company's products have found their way to reputable Chinese enterprises like Goldwind, Dongfang Wind Power, CRRC, Envision, Windey, Mingyang Smart Energy, and SANY Renewable Energy, as well as international giants like GE Vernova, Siemens Gamesa, and Nordex Acciona Windpower. 

In 2021, Weili Transmission invested in a new "precision gearbox research, development and production project." The project aims to build a domestic first-class green, energy-saving, intelligent, and standardized manufacturing plant based on the planning and design concepts of reasonable layout, excellent spatial structure, efficient operation process, controllable construction, operation and maintenance costs, and pleasant environmental landscape. 

In 2023, Weili Transmission increased the investment in internet systems and intelligent testing equipment, integrated the existing SAP, WMS, AGV, PLM, and self-developed MES, Business Middle Platform System, and other sets of business systems to ensure powerful quality management across the entire product life cycle. This integration spans from supplier access and production to manufacturing and delivery and supports the construction of smart factories.

As of the end of 2023, Weili Transmission's research and development team has more than 160 employees, with 146 effectively authorized patents, and the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements is more than 80%. The company's commitment to innovation is underscored by a 2020 initiative, introducing high-level talents to expand research and development into electric drive assembly products for new energy vehicles. 

In 2021, leveraging its R&D expertise in gearbox technology, Weili Transmission ventured into the wind power main gearbox with elevated technical requirements. By early 2023, the company achieved a significant milestone with the successful loading test of its first main gearbox Z5503A. The product gained recognition in domestic and international markets, securing approvals from various wind turbine manufacturers. 

Strategic approach to APQP4Wind implementation 

Recognizing the challenges posed by technological innovation, shortened product life cycles, and intense market competition, Weili Transmission embraced APQP4Wind as a systematic product design and development quality management tool tailored for the wind power industry. From the design and development stage to planning, evaluating, and verifying the quality needs of products, the company implements APQP4Wind to pursue higher standards and more stringent requirements to implement quality management further and promote high-quality enterprise development.

The relevant personnel in Weili have attended and completed the APQP4Wind Management Awareness Training and Specialist Training with valid APQP4Wind certificates. Besides, Weili Transmission uses PLM, OA, SAP, middle station, MES, and other systems as platforms, based on APQP4Wind, to establish a set of R&D quality control systems. Instead of making APQP4Wind another layer in the workflow, Weili breaks down each phase and merges it into the systems so the APQP4Wind concept can be a natural part of the process.
