FAMUR has over a hundred years of experience and advanced engineering know-how that contribute to increasing the efficiency and safety of customers provided with their solutions. FAMUR’s core business consists of heavy machines and innovative solutions for mining and bulk material handling industries, but they are also specialized in designing, delivering, and repairing gearboxes intended for many industry segments.

Their wide range of services is based on many years of experience gained both in Poland and abroad. FAMUR has an experienced management team and support from the shareholder, TDJ Company, which is a leading, family-owned investment firm with global reach. Together with the skilled engineering and technical staff, FAMUR represents an effective organization with structured business processes, a modern production base, and a strong M&A track record of 16 successful acquisitions. 

Transforming into a technology holding company

The beginning of transforming FAMUR into a technology holding company that invests in green energy transformation was initiated by cooperation with Projekt Solartechnik, as it was here that the first investments in the large-scale photovoltaics sector started in 2021.

Today, FAMUR expects to develop its engagement in the wind industry with the same level of enthusiasm, knowing that its APQP4Wind Company Membership helps establish FAMUR as a trusted partner. The Vice President of the Management Board at FAMUR, Dawid Gruszczyk, says:

“Based on many years of experience, FAMUR is an expert in designing and constructing equipment for any industry. This includes advanced gearboxes outside the mining machinery segment. The prospects for the development of Polish wind energy, both offshore and onshore and in other renewable energy areas, create favorable conditions for cooperation, and FAMUR is excited to meet the challenges ahead.” 

Focus on the green transformation

FAMUR’s goal is to support the green transformation in the energy sector. After talking with wind industry leaders about future supply cooperation in early 2021, FAMUR decided to start implementing APQP4Wind by having employees participate in several APQP4Wind training courses. 

After the team had completed all the required courses and certificates, Project Manager at FAMUR, Pawel Owczarz, says that becoming an APQP4Wind Company Member of the APQP4Wind Organization was an obvious formality for them and a natural next step in the implementation process: 

The implementation phase is still ongoing, but the aim is that APQP4Wind will be fully implemented by the end of 2023.
