Meet our Member: Blumenbecker Polska - We deliver solutions

Blumenbecker Polska is a part of the Blumenbecker Group in Germany, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in May 2022. As a family business, Blumenbecker Group is an industrial service provider with main business activities divided into three competence areas: Industrial-Automation, Industrial-Trade, and Industrial-Service.

The production of switchgear and control cabinets has been established in Poland in 2004. Since then, Blumenbecker Polska has continuously worked on increasing its capabilities by investing in technical competence.

Quality is a key factor

With their many years of production experience, Blumenbecker Polska applies the needed technical solutions in the design and production of control cabinets by explicitly analyzing customers´ requirements from the wind industry.

Quality is a high priority at Blumenbecker Polska. Therefore, all their switchgear and control cabinets are manufactured following current standards and norms, such as standard PN-EN 61439, Atex-EX, UL-508a, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and, of course, APQP4Wind.

Making the right investments

During the last few years, market research has made it clear to Blumenbecker Polska that quality assurance within the renewable energy sector, including wind energy, was an important area of investment. Therefore, they decided to launch the APQP4Wind standards to keep pace with the ongoing trend toward decreases in the Levelized Cost of Energy within the wind industry.

To implement the APQP4Wind standards, three Blumenbecker Polska employees were appointed to attend the APQP4Wind Training. First, one of their Project Managers completed APQP4Wind Management Awareness training to gain certification in awareness of the APQP4Wind process and framework. Then their two Designer and Quality Control Managers completed the APQP4Wind Specialist training afterward.

The group of managers trained in the APQP4Wind framework can now lead APQP4Wind projects based on their newly gained qualifications, cross-functional expertise, and skills to avoid the early risk of mistakes at the production site of control cabinets for wind turbine generators.

Today, the APQP4Wind methodology provides Blumenbecker Polska with a clear path for planning, implementing, and verifying product compliance through manufacturing and execution of quality assurance activities for the entire implementation and manufacturing process of control cabinets.

Achieving the right experience to support all kinds of projects

At the beginning of March 2022, Blumenbecker Polska became an official APQP4Wind Company Member. In this way, they wanted to indicate that the company knows and has implemented the APQP4Wind methods and procedures.
