Looking back at 2020 and into the new year
Although the year 2020 presented some challenges, it was still full of exciting highlights for the APQP4Wind organization. In August, the Meet our Member article series, where we promote the APQP4Wind Company Members, was launched with great success among our members and followers. We hosted two APQP4Wind webinars that gained global reach and reached 1,000+ followers on LinkedIn.
To meet the demands of the Chinese market, the year started out with welcoming Xi Jingchen (Christina) as APQP4Wind’s new Administrative Assistant. But this was not all that APQP4Wind did to meet the demands of the Chinese market. Later in the year, the organization approved a Chinese training provider.
The first training provider from China
To accommodate the growing interest in and demand for APQP4Wind training in one of the world’s largest wind industry markets, the APQP4Wind organization welcomed TÜV Rheinland Greater China as the first APQP4Wind Training Provider from China this autumn.
The approval was made to meet the demands in China and further improve the cooperation between utilities, manufacturers, and suppliers around the globe, General Manager of APQP4Wind, Kim Nedergaard Jacobsen expresses:

Two new APQP4Wind Board Members were introduced
The autumn also involved some significant activities in the APQP4Wind Board of Directors. Within a few months, the APQP4Wind Chairman was re-elected, and the Board of Directors grew by two new board members committed to APQP4Wind: Erik Dom from ZF Wind Power and Jiqiang Ye from Goldwind.
Their addition to the board is a step towards further maturing and developing the global industry, re-elected Chairman of the APQP4Wind Board and Senior Specialist at Vestas Wind Systems, Henning Bach Jokumsen says:

The APQP4Wind Community keeps growing
Since GE Renewable Energy, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Vestas Wind Systems became the first Company Members, the APQP4Wind Community has grown at rocket speed. This year alone, the global community grew by 27 new members and now holds 47 APQP4Wind Company Members with 38 suppliers and 3 additional key OEM’s: Goldwind, MHI Vestas and Nordex.
By being Company Members, the companies contribute actively to the development and maturing of APQP4Wind and help strengthen its implementation and application within the global wind industry supply chain.
