Great networking at WindEurope Electric City 2021

During this year’s WindEurope Electric City trade fair, the APQP4Wind Secretariat met up with both new and potential Company Members, hosted a workshop for the dedicated APQP4Wind Working Group Members, and successfully held several meetings with the APQP4Wind Board Members to discuss the opportunities to develop and grow APQP4Wind even further.

Last week, the APQP4Wind Secretariat went to Copenhagen to host a workshop and several meetings for the APQP4Wind Board Members and Working Group Members and meet up with both new and potential APQP4Wind Company Members at the WindEurope Electric City 2021 trade fair.

Dedicated APQP4Wind Working Group Members came to Copenhagen from across the world or joined online to present current projects to new members and work on the projects at a Working Group workshop. The workshop was a great success, as the Working Group presented their projects' status for the APQP4Wind Board Members, who were very pleased with the highly motivated Working Group Members and their efforts to help develop APQP4Wind in the right direction.

APQP4Wind’s committed Board Members also joined the APQP4Wind Secretariat in Copenhagen or via Teams to discuss the opportunities to grow and develop the APQP4Wind Community and framework even further during several internal meetings and meetings with relevant stakeholders.

One of these was a meeting between the Board Members and the new utility members in the APQP4Wind Community. Here, the utility companies showed great interest in the APQP4Wind framework, and there was a constructive dialogue about growth opportunities, the further developments of APQP4Wind, and the future of the wind industry. It became quite clear that the utility companies are eager to mature the wind industry supply chain together with APQP4Wind.

On the following day, the Board of Directors spent an entire day developing the APQP4Wind Organization’s strategy for the years to come. Each Board Member presented their suggestions and contributed to a productive discussion, and the Board of Directors decided on the new strategy by the end of the day.

Furthermore, the APQP4Wind Secretariat attended the WindEurope Electric City trade fair to meet up with people from different companies that either recently became APQP4Wind Company Members or already fulfilled the requirements to sign up for a membership. Visiting the fair was a good chance for the Secretariat to give the recent Company Members a warm welcome to the APQP4Wind Community and inform potential members on how to join. Of the latter, a vast majority were very interested in becoming Company Members within the near future.
